FAQs

Questions parents ask us

How do the online lessons actually work?
Lessons are live and interactive — a qualified tutor teaches in real time using a shared digital whiteboard, screen sharing and worksheets. Students speak, ask questions and solve problems during the lesson, exactly as they would in a classroom. Lessons typically run 1.5–2 hours depending on the course.
Which year groups and subjects do you cover?
Year 3 through Year 13: English and Maths at KS2; 11+ preparation (English, Maths, VR and NVR) in Years 4–5; Maths, English and Science at KS3 and GCSE (AQA, Pearson Edexcel and OCR, Higher and Foundation tiers); and Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology at A-Level.
What does my child need at home?
A laptop, PC or tablet with a camera and microphone, and a stable internet connection. Everything else — the platform, materials and worksheets — is provided by us. A writing pad (graphics tablet) is not a must, but it's a great extra: our whiteboard is bidirectional, so students can write on the board alongside their teacher — solving problems together in real time, not just watching.
Is there homework?
Yes. Homework is set after every lesson and marked with feedback. It's a core part of how lesson content becomes lasting knowledge, and completion is tracked in your child's weekly report.
How do I know it's working?
You'll receive weekly progress updates and full termly written reports, and your parent portal shows attendance, reports and your account at any time.
